GOWUTAR at IPSC Nationals 2026: Competition, Community & Optics

Shooters at IPSC Nationals 2026.From October 1–4, 2026, GOWUTAR joined the shooting community in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for IPSC Nationals 2026. With more than 600 competitors taking part, the event brought together experienced shooters, demanding stages, and a shared passion for practical shooting.

For our team, it was an opportunity to connect with competitors, introduce GOWUTAR optics in person, and learn directly from the people who use them. From the competition bays to the conversations at our booth, the weekend offered valuable perspectives on what shooters expect from a pistol red dot sight.

A Closer Look at GOWUTAR Optics

During the three-day competition, our booth welcomed numerous visitors, including virtually all of the world’s top shooters.

For many visitors, this was their first opportunity to explore GOWUTAR optics in person. The display allowed them to take a closer look at the sights, examine the construction, and compare the viewing experience across different models.

Conversations covered window size, dot preferences, mounting compatibility, and everyday convenience. These exchanges helped us understand how individual preferences change across competition, range use, and other shooting applications.

The photos from the booth capture some of our favorite moments: visitors examining the optics, comparing setups, and sharing their own experiences with fellow shooters.GOWUTAR outdoor booth with branded canopy and optics display at IPSC Nationals 2026Visitors looking through pistol-mounted optics at the GOWUTAR booth during IPSC Nationals 2026Visitors looking through pistol-mounted optics at the GOWUTAR booth during IPSC Nationals 2026

Team GOWUTAR on the Competition Stages

Nine Team GOWUTAR members competed at the event, all equipped with the GP-9 Gen 2.

Across three days of competition, shooters tackled seven stages each day. These stages put equipment into the context that matters: repeated recoil, movement between positions, and the pressure of a timed course of fire.

Seeing our team use the GP-9 Gen 2 throughout the match made the event especially meaningful. It also gave us opportunities to discuss their experiences with the optic and better understand the demands of competition shooting.

Congratulations to every team member for the commitment and preparation they brought to the match.Competitor wearing hearing protection and holding a pistol on the range at IPSC Nationals 2026.Competitor on a stage at IPSC Nationals 2026

GP-9 Gen 2, GP-7 & GP-3 Draw Attention

Three models stood out in our booth conversations: the GP-9 Gen 2, GP-7, and GP-3.

GP-9 Gen 2

As the optic used by Team GOWUTAR during the match, the GP-9 Gen 2 attracted considerable attention. Its large viewing window was a frequent topic among competitors exploring optics for practical shooting.

The GP-7 also drew strong interest. Discussions around window size and dot size gave us useful insight into the different sight pictures competitors prefer.

GP-3

Visitors appreciated the GP-3’s lightweight design and value. Some also expressed interest in future options featuring an enclosed emitter or a side-access battery tray - feedback we will consider as we evaluate future product development.

These conversations were a reminder that useful product feedback often starts with a simple question at the display table.

A Weekend Built Around the Shooting Community

Beyond the product display, the event brought together local supporters, online followers, volunteers, and shooters meeting GOWUTAR for the first time.

Volunteers helped at the booth and shared their own experiences with visitors. Their involvement added a personal perspective to the conversations and helped make the booth a welcoming place to stop between stages.

The closing activities brought another wave of visitors, with prize drawings and head-to-head matchups adding to the excitement. GOWUTAR optics were included among the event prizes, rounding out a memorable weekend of competition and community.Visitors looking through pistol-mounted optics at the GOWUTAR booth during IPSC Nationals 2026Prizes at IPSC Nationals 2026GOWUTAR Optics booth at IPSC Nationals 2026

Taking the Feedback Forward

One recurring theme in our conversations was value: shooters wanted well-made optics with practical features at an accessible price.

The event gave us encouraging feedback on that approach, alongside specific suggestions for improvement. We left Pittsburgh with new connections and a clearer understanding of the features shooters would like to see next.

Thank you to the organizers, competitors, volunteers, and everyone who visited our booth. We appreciate the time you took to explore our optics and share your feedback.

We look forward to meeting more of the shooting community at future events.
